Press Release

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Hayes provides an update on the Restaurant Revitalization Fund for the Fifth District.

“Since the pandemic destroyed and delayed the growth of many restaurants, bakeries, bars, wineries, and other-related businesses in my district, helping these small businesses stabilize after the pandemic has been a top concern for me. Since the enactment of the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, 241 applications have been approved at a total of $47,739,370 for businesses in the Fifth District experiencing pandemic-related revenue loss, including those designated as veteran-owned, women-owned, and minority-owned.

“I am advocating for additional funding for my district to ensure more business owners are able to thrive, which is why I co-sponsored H.R.3807 - Restaurant Revitalization Fund Replenishment Act of 2021 to increase funding.  I intend to make sure businesses in my district are supported.”

Overall, in Connecticut, 1,303 applications were approved at a total of $301,164,069.
