I visited De’Ari Allick, the first student I ever gave a Saturday detention, to celebrate his success as an entrepreneur Dope N Delicious, leader in the community with his Stop the Violence, Start the Love Basketball Tournament, nonprofit founder of Fearless Builders, and Fearless Youth Academy and one of CT Magazine’s 40 under 40. I am gushing with pride to see one of my former students having accomplished so much.
