On this Juneteenth, I joined Waterbury to affirm the contributions of Black Americans as central to our American story.
It is our responsibility to be the storytellers and the messengers and ensure that policy is not just what is written on paper, but also implemented and enforced. It doesn’t matter if the people don’t know.
