THOMASTON – On Wednesday, January 24th, 2023, Congresswoman Jahana Hayes (CT-05) attended the Thomaston Economic Development Commission Business Recognition Event to celebrate the work of three local businesses – UniMetal Surface Finishing, Clocktown Brewery, and GLC Associates One.
“As the representative for the Fifth District of Connecticut, I was thrilled to join the Thomaston Economic Development Commission to honor three pillars of the community. Small businesses are the backbone of a strong economy. The LaCapra Family should be proud of the legacy they have created through UniMetal Surface Finishing, the Clocktown Brewing Company and GLC Associates One. I look forward to seeing these businesses continue to thrive and benefit Thomaston residents for years to come,” said Congresswoman Jahana Hayes.
Founded in Thomaston in 1983, UniMetal Surface Finishing employs 130 workers and provides metal finishing for electronic, medical, aerospace, automotive, and hardware industry products.
In late 2020 Clocktown Brewing Company opened its doors and now sells a wide range of craft beers and food. It also serves as a local hotspot in Thomaston.
GLC Associates One has been a part of the real estate industry for almost 40 years.
